When it comes to doing exercises, both a normal person and a person that is in a wheelchair they can both do exercise. There are some exercises that a person seated in a wheelchair is capable of doing. Below is the discussion on the seated wheelchair exercises that are healthy for your body.
We have different types of wheelchairs of which among them is the manual wheelchair, this manual wheelchair is important since it enables one to do some exercises when they are moving the wheelchair by themselves. Now that you have a manual wheelchair, most of the times you will be required to move the wheelchair yourself from one place to another and by doing that you will be doing some exercises while seated in your wheelchair. One should make an effort to be moving to a certain distance and by doing so you will have done enough exercise by the end of the day.
Some other seated wheelchair exercises that will help you stay fit is by bending on your sides. When you are in a wheelchair, it means that you will not be able to stand and by side bending you will not be required to stand you instead do the bendings while seated in a wheelchair. To ensure that your body is fit, you will have to bend to all sides that is possible and then repeat the same process for some more minutes. By doing that you will be making the upper side of your body as strong as possible.
Now that you have made the upper part of your body strong, to ensure that there is a good circulation of blood you should now lift your knee. You will not be able to lift your knee unless you control the lower part of your body. You will not have to worry about anything the task will be so simple, you will have to lift you one leg at a time for some time and then continue with the same and by doing that, you will be allowing blood to circulate very well and you will also keep your body fit now.
When you are in a wheelchair, one of the exercises that you can be able to do is to strengthen your both arms and this will keep you fit. When you are seated on a wheelchair, you will be able to move your arms on different sides and by doing that, you will have made them fit. By doing this, you will have strengthened your arms in one or another by just seated in your wheelchair and to accomplish this, you will have to take control of the upper part of your body.
